Dual Extract
A dual-extract process is the best case scenario for tinctures. Some beneficial compounds are alcohol-soluble, while other compounds are water-soluble. Our recipe involves steeping the reishi fruit body in high proof alcohol for multiple months. Separately, we also simmer reishi fruit body in water to extract those compounds. We then mix the reishi tea and the reishi alcohol into one dual-extract tincture.
Fruit Body vs Mycelium
A lot of mushroom products on the market use “fruit body and mycelium”. This is a way to boost profits while providing the customer with a less effective tincture. When a product contains mycelium, it will also contains the growing medium that binds the mycelium – sawdust, soybean hulls, etc. Our tincture is 100% reishi fruit body, with no mycelium, no sawdust, no soybean hulls, etc. Just 100% reishi fruit body. This tincture was expertly prepared by Rob, our founder, for himself initially. Only the best went into this tincture.
Limited Supply
Since this tincture takes months to produce, and because this initial batch is a very small batch meant initially for one person, there is an incredibly limited supply.
How to Consume Reishi Tincture
Like Buckley’s cough medicine, reishi tincture tastes awful, but it works.
Luckily, you can mix the tincture into anything and the taste will disappear. You’ll still get all the benefits without the after taste.
It’s recommended to use the provided dropper (~1.125ml), twice per day, and to consume it with food.
