Curator Note: Fungi puts the mushroom fruitbodies under focus in this art piece. Displaying ten species of mushrooms, and up to a hundred “cap & stems”, you aren’t likely to find many other pieces displaying so much mushroom in one focus area.

Chanterelles, Aminata muscaria, ink caps, morels, boletes, enoki, and even some coral mushrooms provides something for everyone and something to notice each time you take a look.

This is a great stand-alone piece to add in an area without competing pieces, or you can add it to a room where there’s lots of hustle and bustle.

Artist: Clark & Bell

My name is Kyla Bell. I am the local artist behind Clark and Bell! As a self-taught artist, I really love to explore new mediums and experiment with different ways of creating art. I started painting after my first son was born, to find a creative outlet for myself postpartum. I have always been pulled to depicting nature, and absolutely fell in love with the fungi world – my family makes outdoor time an absolute priority, and spotting mushrooms in our favourite forests has been our joy!
